Three hundred runners braved driving rain and a spot of snow at the Devizes 10K. Tom Anderson of  Winchester AC was the first to complete the course recording 32:42 ahead of Salisbury’s Simon Plummer who took maximum points as the first Wiltshire affiliated athlete to finish. However it was Avon Valley Runners who claimed the team victory and now top the table with the same number of points as Chippenham Harriers.

The Ladies race also saw a victory for Winchester AC with Penny Armand-Smith heading Fiona Price of Avon valley Runners. Chippenham Harriers however took the team victory and now sit just one point behind the West Wiltshire club.

The next event in the Wiltshire Race League is the St Georges 10K at Corsham on 22nd April.
