Seventy runners lined up in Corsham for the Springfield 5K. Chris Hines of Team Bath led from the start to take victory in 16:57 from William Stockley of Avon Valley Runners and Paul Key of Swindon Harriers. Achieving 4th, 5th, 9th & 10th positions Avon Valley Runners took full points ahead of Chippenham Harriers. 10th placed Richard Morgetroyd of Avon Valley Runners is now the leading points scorer in the Race League with a tally of 532.

For the Ladies, Michelle Maxwell took victory in 19:10 ahead of Fiona Price and Jackie Rockliffe of Avon Valley Runners. Avon Valley Runners claimed the 20 League points and are now just two points behind Chippenham Harriers. Fiona Price is also now the leading female scorer in the Race League with a tally of 489.

The next race in the Wiltshire Race League is the TBAS10K at Castle Combe on Sunday July 29th and is also the Wiltshire county championship race for the distance.
