Wiltshire vs Dorset Road Match

Despite a splendid run in 52:30 on the hilly course by Simon Plummer (Salisbury A&RC) who finished second behind 50K World Record holder Steve Way of Bournemouth AC and an impressive third place by Kyle Pepperman-Hackett (Poole Runner & second claim Salisbury A&RC) it was Dorset who took the honours by claiming 4th, 5th & 6th places with Michael Towler (Avon Valley Runners) in 7th; Stuart Henderson (Corsham Running Club) 8th; Nathan Blunden (Swindon Harriers) in 11th and Carl Davies (Avon Valley Runners) in 12th.

The ladies also narrowly missed out with second placed Sam Kelly of Wootton Bassett Hounds leading the way for Wiltshire, with 4th placed Georgie Starkie (Frome Running Club) finishing as first Senior Lady in the open race and 7th placed Fiona Price (Avon Valley Runners) was 2nd FV40 and 8th placed Diane Hier (Avon Valley Runners) the 2nd FV50; in 9th place was Denise Grech of Calne SMaRTT and 10th Jo Mumford of Avon Valley Runners.
