SW XC Championships Post Race Report

Congratulations to all Wiltshire athletes who ran in the SW XC Championships on the 5 January 2020.

Well done to all Wiltshire athletes who completed in the 2020 SW XC Championships. Congratulations to the senior men’s team who took team silver and the senior women’s team who won team bronze. Excellent run by Alice Murray-Gourlay [Taunton AC] to win individual silver and to Ed Knudsen [Avon Valley Runners] who came fourth in the senior men’s race. Elsewhere Bea Woods [City of Salisbury AC] continued her winning ways by winning the girls U17 race with Isabella Wolsey [city of Salisbury AC] coming fourth. Wiltshire won team silver. Excellent run by Harry Maxwell [Teambath AC] who came second in the U13 boys race and the team won silver. And congratulations to Sophie Nicholls [City of Salisbury AC] who came third in the U15 girls race.

I have two senior men silver medals not picked up at the event. Please can you get in touch to claim your medal.

Finally, a black Manchester United top was left in the Wiltshire team. Please contact me if you want it back.

We shall be contacting athletes selected to run for Wiltshire in the national inter-counties XC championships on 9 March 2020 asking for your availability. WAA will enter and pay for all athletes.
