Announcing Road Race Fixtures for 2022

Wiltshire Athletics Road Race League 2022

I am delighted to be able to announce the fixtures that will form the 2022 WRRL (notwithstanding a fixture we are yet to finalise).

The events will be as follows (with best 6 of 8 races scoring):

Race 1: Calne Leisure Centre Clock Change Challenge 10k, 27/03/22

Race 2: Highworth 5 mile, 10/04/22 (County Championship 5 mile road race)

Race 3: Hullavington Half, 15/05/22 (County Championship half marathon road race)

Race 4: Lacock 10k, 26/06/22

Race 5: TBC (likely 5k to provide a race of this distance in the league)

Race 6: Compton Bassett 5 mile, date TBC (likely August)

Race 7: Malmesbury 10k, 03/09/22

Race 8: Devizes 10k, 25/09/22 (County Championship 10k road race)

Where an event is listed as a county championship race, this means the event will be the county championship race for the distance in 2022.

The first 3 male and female Wiltshire eligible athletes across the line in those chosen events will be crowned county gold(champion) / silver / bronze for the distance for 2022.

Veteran categories will be included on a gold medal basis.
