Off-Road Running League Updated
We have now updated the off-road league tables following race number five, which was the Slaughterford 9. As this was hosted by Chippenham Harriers, it gave an opportunity for the other clubs to reduce the gap, which several took on. We now have an epic three-way battle for the second spot, with a slim chance of taking the top spot.
The updated summary is now available on the WORL page which can be found here.
Let us not forget the battle for promotion from Div.2, where Salisbury are beginning to make a charge and Corsham (B) are battling with Shrewton in the current promotion spots.
In the individual stakes the top two in each of the Female and Male categories have a gap, but as we approach the sixth race we can remember that only the top six race scores count, so any individuals who have completed less races will start to gain ground.
Well done to everyone taking part – this is without doubt the most friendly of leagues with many of us being long term friends or even family with members in different clubs!
This year we have welcomed back Marlborough running club who have always hosted some legendary events in the past. Next year we are looking forward to seeing a couple more teams joining the league and maybe even some new events – you never know!
