Wiltshire County and Tri-County XC Open
Sunday 27th November at University of Bath – full day of Cross-Country Races covering many age groups.
This is the annual County and Tri-County Cross Country Championships, held at Bath University.
The event is organised by one of the other counties (combined Wiltshire, Somerset and Avon). Wiltshire Athletics will use the event as the 2022 Cross Country Championships as well as a key for selecting teams to represent the county at the Southwest Championships in January.
The event is open to everyone, and entry details can be found at this link:

Please join us if you can.
Please can you confirm that the event is indeed open to all as it says above, given it says school years 4, 5 and 6 for under 11s in the detail? i.e. can earlier years eager to do proper XC take part, accepting the age variety.
Hi Matt, Please check the propectus on the Somerset Athletics website for more details, as they are the organisers and hosts for this event. You can use the link provided to connect to the entry form and from there you can link to the Prospectus.
I also include a direct link to the prospectus here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vz5k3bxcl2aodqb/Tri-County%20XC%20Event%20Prospectus%202022.pdf?dl=0
In summary, it is open to all athletes regardless of county eligibility, but there are age restrictions due to the nature of the course and event:
The championships will host events for athletes aged from 11-years and older in accordance with the competition guidelines defined by UK:Athletics. Specific age category events will be staged for U13, U15, U17, U20 (based on age as at 31st August 2022 as per English CCU and UKA rules) and Senior/Masters athletes based on age as at race date. There will also be a developmental race hosted for athletes aged U11 on the day of competition. Since the last update to the rules, School Year 6 children are no longer eligible to run as U13s, even after they have turned 11 years of age, and will therefore all run as U11s.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards.
