Update: Off-Road Race League (WORL) Race #3

Cast your mind back to a cold slightly damp day at the end of November ….. to Shrewton Running Club’s marvellous Yarnbury Yomp (The date next year is 24th November, so I’ve heard )

We were all battling towards our next set of points, as individuals and as Clubs and Teams in our respective divisions.

I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed putting these results together, then as tends to happen at the this time of year, life took over and the exciting results haven’t been published yet.

First things first – HUGE Congratulations to CoSARC who took the overall win in both Division 1 & Division 2 for their Team A & Team B at Yarnbury Yomp 

These mark the 3rd different team to win an event so far this season in each division!

Div1 AVR A won WHG; Chippenham Harriers A won OTH & now CoSARC A have won YY.

Div2 AVR B won WHG; TBAC A won OTH & CoSARC B won YY.

With Chippenham Harriers A taking the 2nd place spot when they haven’t won, they are currently leading Division 1, with CoSARC B just pipping St Mary’s Tri A to the lead of Division 2.

The Individual Tables are tighter than they appear due to many key players having missed one race of the 3 – remember it is 6 of the 8 to count.

Gemma Knudsen (AVR) and Matt Waite (Calne Running Club) who are leading the overall tables 

We have now had 180 Men & 113 Ladies taking part in the Off Road League so far this season, that’s nearly 300 different runners!

RWBH have brought 20 different Ladies to join in the fun while Chippenham Harriers have convinced 37 different Men to have a go!

If anyone was missed from the original results I’m afraid it’s down to you all to check through when the race results come out.

Enjoy sharing these with your clubs and rallying the troops for the remaining races, the 3 in Feb are still open for entries, March’s race has a few spaces left I believe. The Rollick is operating a waiting list.

This is a mega season of clubs vying for the hotspots and is great to see. Let’s keep it going into the New Year.
