Wiltshire Off-Road Race League (WORL) 2023/24

updated on

Congratulations to Chippenham Harriers Running Club – Winners 23/24 ????

Here are the final tables.

With 3 different Team Winners over the first three races this year, it looked like the league could belong to anyone, once the half way point was reached though Harriers began to pull out an uncatchable lead.

It was all change for the other spots right up to the end race …

Congratulations to Royal Wootton Bassett Hounds RC who held onto 2nd place in the end having scored just enough 2nd places towards the start of the league.

Well done to City of Salisbury A & RC taking 3rd place overall with a win at The Yarnbury Yomp too. This team were super fun to have along this year and deserve an extra cheer for the travel hours they have put in with so many of Wiltshire’s races taking place in the North of the county and beyond even.

In Division 2 – Many Congratulations to St Mary’s Calne Sports Centre Running and Triathlon Club who topped the table, scoring at 7 of the 8 races.

Congratulations again to City of Salisbury A & RC who’s B Team move up into Division 1 for next year as they finished 2nd in Division 2.

Sadly 2 Teams have to move down from Division 1, this season we lose Calne SMaRTT‘s A Team and Corsham Running Club ‘s B Team.

How many runners did we all bring to the league this year?

There were 177 Ladies and 264 Men! That’s 441 individual participants – wow!

Everyone is listed in the final photos here. Congratulations to you all – your points are not only likely to have scored for your own club, but also prevented a rival club taking those points for themselves!

Here’s to a good battle on trails in 2024-25!
