SW Combined Events Championships

Despite very cold and blustery conditions,Wiltshire athletes produced some excellent individual performances at the SW Combined Events Championships which took place at Exeter at the weekend. 

Senior Girl Emily Dixon ran out an easy winner in the Heptathlon.

Gio Downie produced very good performances to finish 2nd in the Intermediate Boys Octathlon, with his team mates Seb Titcombe, Kieran Stephens and Patrick Creese coming 6th, 7th and 9th respectively. 

Grace Redmond  was a comfortable winner of the  Inter Girls Heptathlon and Junior Girl Breagha Campbell ran a superb 800m in her last event to rocket her up from 5th to 1st place in the Pentathlon.

Her score of 2993 points currently ranks her No 1 the UK  in this event.

All the above athletes will go forward to compete at the Nationals at Birmingham in September
