Wiltshire XC Championships

The Wiltshire XC Championships took place at Bath University on Sunday 13th December, alongside the county championships of Avon and Somerset.

Avon Valley Runners dominated the Senior races with the Ladies taking the team title for the sixth time in seven years led home by Ruth Barnes who took the Tri-counties title alonngside the county title and Jackie Rockliffe who took the Wiltshire Bronze medal with the pair split by second place Imogen Wolsey of Team Bath in the siilver medal position.

In the Senior Mens race Simon Nott of Calne Running Club claimed his first Senior XC title ahead of Ben Brewster of Southampton AC and Michael Towler of Avon Valley Runners who led his club mates to a third successive Wiltshire XC team title.

The event also served as Race #4 of the Wiltshire Off-Road Race League and with Team Bath taking maximum points ahead of Avon Valley Runners, Chippenham Harriers remain top of Division One with their lead sliced by just the one point. In the Second Division Calne Running Club remain top and Frome Running Club are a clear second. Updated Wiltshire Off-Road Race League tables can be found here.
