South West Half Marathon Championships

Leading home for Wiltshire was Simon Nott of Calne Running Club who recorded 70:58 on the relentlessly hilly course taking the runners up spot, in fourth place overall was Ed Knudsen of Avon Valley Runners in 71:23 and supported by 12th place Chris Southern from Salisbury A&RC and 18th placed Gary O’Brien from Swindon Harriers saw Wiltshire take the silver medal behind Devon.

In the Ladies race Cordula Hurcum of Chippenham Harriers ran a new personal best time of 1:26:39 to lead Wiltshire home, supported by Anna-Marie Watson from Avon Valley Runners, Karen Hacker from Chippenham Harriers and Fiona Price also from Avon Valley Runners. Wiltshire Ladies took the bronze medal behind Devon and Cornwall.
